We are dedicated to providing great online shopping experiences and are on the lookout for a Head of Commercial to join us on this journey for our two Nordic marketplaces: CDON and Fyndiq.

About the role

As the Head of Commercial, you will be the driving force in transforming how we maximise our sales on our two marketplaces in a brand-credible way. Your focus will be on ensuring successful sales performance across the Nordic markets, leading a large team of operationally and strategically oriented colleagues. Our Commercial department is responsible for traffic acquisition, site orchestration and category management.

This role encompasses both strategic and operational elements, requiring a hands-on approach to daily sales and site management.

Responsibilities includes

  • Ownership of the sales forecast, ensuring we reach our target for GMV and GPAM (Gross Profit After Marketing) and report progress to the management team and the company
  • Fostering a sales culture with a strong focus on customer engagement
  • Setting and leading our commercial strategy and ensuring the reach of the set growth goals
  • Takes overall responsibility for sales on our e-commerce platform, focusing on customer acquisition, conversion, and upselling
  • Day-to-day responsibility for sales across the Nordic markets for CDON and Fyndiq
  • Maximising the results of our traffic acquisition efforts in collaboration with SEO, SEM, Paid Social, and Social Media teams
  • Lead efforts in conversion optimization, site improvements, and strategic initiatives to drive each marketplace into the desired position
  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies and activities, ensure they meet set objectives
  • Gathering insights and developing propositions for main industry verticals
  • Analysing marketing data to continuously optimise and improve our efforts, and reporting results to the management team and the company
  • Create an organisational setup to best match the competence, requirements and workflows needed to succeed with our strategy
  • Lead and coach your teams to create a sales culture with a strong focus on customer engagement

To be successful in this central role, you will need to have a good cooperation with other parts in the organisation such as:

  • Merchant Sales to align on assortment gaps and merchandising strategies
  • Brand- & Customer Experience to align on customer engagement, brand positions and desired experience
  • Tech to enhance our platform’s capabilities for CRO

Qualifications and requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial leadership, preferably in an e-commerce setting
  • Strong operational and strategic skills with the ability to manage both daily sales activities and long-term strategic planning
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and strategies
  • Proven record of leading B2C sales team, demonstrating strong leadership and coaching abilities to foster collaboration, and empower team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data and lead with data-driven decisions
  • A customer-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • University degree in business, economics, or related field
